How do I delete my account?
You can delete your account any time, right from the app — or we'll do it for you if you can't log in. We've laid out every step, and exactly what gets removed, on our Delete your account page.
How does verification work?
Serendib asks for a quick selfie so we can confirm you're a real person. We compare it to your profile photos to keep the community safe and free of fake accounts. Your verification selfie is kept private — it's never shown on your profile, and only you and our Trust & Safety team can see it. It only takes a moment, and it helps everyone trust who they're talking to.
How does billing and my subscription work?
Serendib is free for your first month. After that, premium features are $9.99 per month. You can cancel any time — there's no lock-in.
- On iPhone / iPad: manage or cancel in Settings → your name (Apple ID) → Subscriptions.
- On Android: manage or cancel in the Google Play Store → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.
Your subscription is handled by the App Store or Google Play, so all billing and cancellations happen there. If you cancel, you keep your premium features until the end of the period you've already paid for.
How do I stay safe, and how do I report someone?
Safety is built into Serendib from day one. Every member is verified, and you can block or report anyone directly from their profile or your chat with them. We review reports quickly, and a profile that gets several reports may be hidden while we look into it.
A few simple habits keep you safest: keep chats inside the app until you trust someone, never send money to anyone you've met online, and meet in a public place the first time. If anything feels wrong, report it — or email us at support@meetserendib.com and we'll step in.
How does matching by distance work?
Serendib is built around finding people near you, anywhere across America. You set a distance you're comfortable with, and we show you marriage-minded Sri Lankans within that range — alongside filters for language, region, faith and intentions. We only ever use an approximate location: other members see a rough distance like "12 miles away," never your exact spot.
