Before anyone can match, they take a quick selfie inside the app. We compare it with their profile photos to confirm a real person is behind them. The selfie is never shown on your profile; only you and our Trust and Safety team can see it, and only to keep the community safe. Everyone you meet has passed the same check.

After the free period, Serendib is $9.99 a month, and you can cancel any time. Invite three friends who join and verify, and your next month is free. Founding Members, the first 1,000 people to join, never pay for premium: it is theirs for life.

Members can say which languages they speak, Sinhala, Tamil and English, and filter matches by language. Chat in whichever language the two of you share.

Only if you want us to. Poruttam (horoscope) compatibility is optional and private. It is shown only when both people have chosen to share it, and it never changes who you see or who sees you unless you turn it on. The person comes first.

No. Other members see a rounded distance, like "about 6 miles away". Never a map pin, never a street. You choose how far the app looks for matches.

Yes, any time, in the app in a few taps, or by email if you can no longer log in. Your profile, photos, matches and messages are removed. The steps are on our delete your account page.
